Acceptable Use Policy

1. Scope

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") applies to all users, visitors, and account holders of the Tracklytix platform ("the Platform"). It supplements our Terms of Service and outlines the boundaries of acceptable behavior when using our services.

By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to comply with this AUP. We reserve the right to update this policy at any time with notice to affected users.

2. Prohibited Conduct

You may not use the Platform to:

  • Violate any applicable local, state, national, or international law or regulation
  • Engage in fraudulent invoicing, deceptive billing, or financial misrepresentation
  • Impersonate another person, business, or entity
  • Harass, threaten, or intimidate other users or any third party
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts, data, or systems
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Platform's servers, networks, or infrastructure
  • Use the Platform for money laundering, terrorist financing, or other illegal financial activities
  • Circumvent, disable, or otherwise interfere with security features of the Platform

3. Prohibited Content

You may not upload, transmit, or store content on the Platform that:

  • Is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, or defamatory
  • Infringes on any patent, trademark, trade secret, copyright, or other intellectual property rights
  • Contains viruses, malware, trojan horses, or other malicious code
  • Contains personally identifiable information of third parties without their consent
  • Promotes illegal activities or provides instructions for illegal conduct
  • Contains false or misleading financial data intended to deceive third parties

4. System & API Abuse

You may not:

  • Scrape, crawl, or use automated tools to access the Platform without prior written authorization
  • Exceed reasonable API rate limits or deliberately circumvent rate limiting mechanisms
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Platform
  • Use the Platform to benchmark or create a competing product or service
  • Resell, redistribute, or sublicense access to the Platform without authorization
  • Deliberately submit excessive or resource-intensive requests designed to degrade performance for other users

5. Enforcement

Violations of this AUP may result in one or more of the following actions, at our sole discretion:

  • Warning: A written notice specifying the violation and required corrective action
  • Suspension: Temporary restriction of access to some or all Platform features
  • Termination: Permanent removal of your account and associated data, subject to our data retention obligations
  • Legal action: Referral to law enforcement or initiation of legal proceedings for serious or repeated violations

We will make reasonable efforts to notify you before taking enforcement action, except in cases where immediate action is necessary to protect the Platform, other users, or third parties.

6. Reporting Violations

If you become aware of any violation of this Acceptable Use Policy, please report it immediately. You can report violations by:

  • Emailing abuse@tracklytix.dev with a description of the violation
  • Using the in-app reporting feature (when available)
  • Contacting us via our Contact page

We take all reports seriously and will investigate promptly. Reports may be submitted anonymously. We will not retaliate against anyone who reports a violation in good faith.
